There are several research reports out that the Veterans Administration has denied women veterans the same level of benefit as men. A lot of these women are now seeking help outside the system, usually at their own expense.
We, at The Senior Sage have experience in getting the VA to acknowledge women who served in our Armed Forces and we've been very successful in obtaining the benefits that they are entitled to get, and deserve.
As a woman, it doesn't matter if you were discharged in 1953 or in 2013 - you are entitled to VA benefits if you served. As of 2010, there were 86,300 women who served in the Korean War. This makes up 5% of the female veteran population - a small number and if you are one of these women, please make sure you are getting your VA benefits. In comparison, 7,484 women served in Vietnam - the majority as nurses. If you are one of these women and are not getting the benefits you deserve - please click on this link or contact us to learn more.
